The new Field Activities feature in QCLOSE HR changes all of that. Available across both web and mobile app interfaces, Field Activities combines multi-location dispatch, task checklists, route visualization, and selfie photo verification into a unified attendance module.

What is Field Activities?

Located directly inside the Attendance dashboard under the dedicated Field Activities tab, this module gives managers real-time visibility into field staff operations while providing employees with a clear, structured daily itinerary.

1. Centralized Field Activity Dashboard & Manager Monitoring

Managers can oversee all ongoing field assignments from a single dashboard.

• Live Task Progress: Track the number of completed visits and checklist progress across staff in real time (e.g., 6 / 9 completed or 3 / 3 completed).
• Location & Status Tags: Filter activities by department, date, or status tags such as In Progress, Completed, or Not Started.
• Activity Logs: View exact timestamps for every location clock-in and clock-out along with running durations.

2. Location-Based Selfie Clock In & Clock Out

Generic attendance clock-ins don't prove site arrival. QCLOSE HR links attendance directly to specific assigned job locations.

• Location-Specific Actions: Staff select their assigned location (e.g., Cedar Retail or Harbour Point) and click Clock In at this Location.
• Photo Verification Modal: Upon clocking in or out, a modal prompts the employee to position themselves in the frame for a clear photo verification snap before confirming.
• Running Duration Counter: Once clocked in, the assignment displays a live Running duration counter (e.g., 2 hr 05 min · Running) until the employee completes the visit and selects Clock Out at this location.

3. Integrated Location Task Checklists & Field Notes

Field visits are rarely just about showing up—they are about executing work.

• Site Checklists: Attach specific task lists to each assigned location (e.g., Install 2 access points, Replace access reader, Check PPE, or Walk the site). Staff check off items as they finish them on site.
• Field Notes & Observations: Employees can append detailed site observations directly to a location record—such as reporting facility conditions, recording stock counts, or logging equipment statuses.

4. Route Mapping & Assignment Builder

• Interactive Map Pinning: Managers use an integrated Google Map picker to search for addresses or drop pins for precise job site coordinates.
